How to run the Sybase CEP Excel Adapter example. Steps require you to install the Sybase CEP RTD Adapter for Excel, create the two URI connection aliases "ATInTrades" and "ATSummary", open Sybase CEP Studio and connect to the server and workspace in which you want to run the example, load and start the AlgorithmicTrading project example, and open the Sybase CEP Excel Adapter example file C8ExcelAdapter.xls.
To run the Sybase CEP Excel Adapter example:
1. Install the Sybase CEP RTD Adapter for Excel.
2. Create the two URI connection aliases "ATInTrades" and "ATSummary".
3. If your Sybase CEP Server is not currently running, start your Sybase CEP Server.
4. Open Sybase CEP Studio and connect to the server and workspace in which you want to run the AlgorithmicTrading project example.
5. Load the AlgorithmicTrading project example from the examples\Finance\AlgorithmicTrading folder under the Sybase CEP Repository.
6. Start the AlgorithmicTrading project example.
7. Go the Sybase CEP RTD Adapter for Excel folder and open the Sybase CEP Excel Adapter example file C8ExcelAdapter.xls.
If the project is running properly and the URI connection alias is configured correctly, you should see the real-time data streams filling the cell values in the worksheet, and the graphs shifting in real time.
