To remove an existing server, follow these instructions.
Prerequisites
Shut down the server before proceeding with these instructions.
Task

To remove an existing Adaptive Server, from $SYBASE,
enter:
rm servername.*

Change to the directory $SYBASE/$SYBASE_ASE/install and
run the following commands:
rm RUN_servername.*
rm servername.*

Edit $SYBASE/interfaces,
to remove all references to the Adaptive Server.

Remove any operating system files for database
devices that exist.
