This section describes how to stop the server on a Unix-like operating system using the command-line.
On UNIX-like operating systems, the server is stopped with the command
c8-server.rc stop
The script c8-server.rc sets the environment appropriately and then starts or stops the server, depending upon the command-line parameter ("start" or "stop").
