Oracle LogMiner

The Replication Agent for Oracle Log Reader component reads Oracle log data using LogMiner. The Log Reader component no longer reads Oracle logs directly.

Because the Log Reader component uses Oracle LogMiner, Replication Agent for Oracle supports the replication of:

data in encrypted tablespaces and columns
data in compressed tables and tablespaces and data compressed with the COMPRESS FOR DIRECT_LOAD OPERATIONS option
data in Oracle SecureFiles

Replication Agent for Oracle observes the same limitations for Oracle data as Oracle LogMiner. For information about those limitations, see the Oracle documentation.
