Configuring Sybase Control Center

See the online help for instructions on setting up user authentication, assigning roles, registering resouces, and other tasks you must perform before you can use Sybase Control Center.

1. Access the online help by doing one of the following:
   • Click ? in the upper-right corner of the Sybase Control Center screen. Expand the Sybase Control Center book in the left pane of the help window.
   • Visit http://sybooks.sybase.com and select Sybase Control Center from the Select a Product list.
2. Follow the instructions in the help to complete these configuration tasks. Tasks are required except as noted.

   Task	Location in help
   Delegate user authentication to the operating system so that users can log in to Sybase Control Center using their existing accounts	Configure > Security > Configuring Security Providers
   Register resources (such as Adaptive Server or Replication Server) so that Sybase Control Center can connect to them and monitor them	Configure > Resources > Registering a Resource
