Configuring Internet Information Services to use ASP .NET

To use the Afaria Web console without Sybase Control Center, configure Internet Information Services (IIS) to use ASP .NET.

1. Select Start > Run , then enter cmd to open a command window.
2. Change to the drive that contains the Windows installation directory.
3. Enter:

   cd %WINDIR%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727
   aspnet_regiis -i
   aspnet_regiis -ga ASPNET

4. Check that the appropriate service for Afaria Server is created and started, and that AfariaWebUI appears under IIS.
5. Start the browser:

   http://localhost/AfariaWebUI/default.aspx
