Verifying the SAP HANA Server

Verify that the SAP HANA server is running.

  1. Open a command window.
  2. Change to <SAP HANA Installation Directory>.
  3. Source the environment variables: 
    hdbenv.sh
    or
    hdbenv.csh
  4. Run:
    sapcontrol -nr <instance number> -function GetVersionInfo
  5. Check that the resulting message references your SAP HANA installation directory.
