Sybase IQ uses Component Integration Services (CIS) to query tables on remote servers. CIS allows Sybase IQ to process queries that are not directly supported by Sybase IQ semantics.
CIS processes queries that:
Reference a user-defined function
Include certain system functions
Reference a Catalog Store table
