OpenSwitch version 15.1 includes a new Sybase Software Asset Management System (SySAM) 2.0 implementation to perform license administration and asset management tasks.
Sybase recommends that you obtain your license files from the Sybase Product Download Center (SPDC) before you begin installation. Accessing SPDC requires a separate login and password — authorized users automatically receive SPDC login and password information via e-mail.
Most SySAM-enabled products work for an initial grace
period without a license. If you do not install a valid license
for your configuration within the grace period, the product ceases
to function.
