Chapter 1: Before You Begin

Upgrading to a newer version

If you have an earlier version of OpenSwitch installed on your machine, Sybase recommends that you uninstall it before you install a later version of OpenSwitch. See “Uninstalling OpenSwitch”. After the uninstallation procedure, the installer does not remove the files in these locations:

Sybase recommends that you make a backup copy of these files after the uninstallation.
