This page allows you to specify a MobiLink user name and password to be used by the MobiLink client when connecting to the MobiLink server. The user name and password do not need to match any database account.
A synchronization profile is created automatically when the synchronization model is deployed. This page allows you to specify a name for the synchronization model.
This page has the following components:
What user name do you want to use for connecting to the MobiLink server Type the MobiLink user name you want to use to connect the MobiLink client to the MobiLink server. See MobiLink users.
If you are deploying the synchronization model to create SQL files for remote tasks, you should use the {ml_username} macro for the user name. The macro is replaced with the MobiLink user being used by the MobiLink Agent when the SQL is executed on the remote device. See Variables in parameters.
What password do you want to use Type the password for the user name you specified.
If you are deploying the synchronization model to create SQL files for remote tasks, you should use the {ml_password} macro for the password. The macro is replaced with the password being used by the MobiLink Agent when the SQL is executed on the remote device. See Variables in parameters.
Register this user in the consolidated database for MobiLink authentication Select this option if you want the specified MobiLink user to be registered for the MobiLink server at the consolidated database. See MobiLink User Authentication utility (mluser).
What do you want to name the synchronization profile Type a name for the synchronization profile. The name needs to be unique for each combination of MobiLink user and publication for the remote database so the default concatenates the publication name and user name, separated by an underscore character.
For SQL Anywhere remote databases, the same name is used for the synchronization subscription.
