Following is a list of additions to SQL Anywhere Monitor introduced in version 12.0.0.
New user interface The Monitor user interface is dashboard-based. Dashboards contain widgets to display metrics, alerts, and resource information. Dashboards are specific to each user. Any user can add, edit, or delete their dashboards. See Overview dashboard.
Monitor MobiLink server farms and Relay Server farms You can use the Monitor to monitor MobiLink server farms and Relay Server Farms, as well as SQL Anywhere databases and MobiLink servers. See SQL Anywhere Monitor.
Close connections from within the Monitor From within the Monitor, you can close connections to resource databases. See Closing a connection using the Monitor.
Import SQL Anywhere resources to be monitored You can create a CSV file that contains a list of resources, and import this list into the Monitor. Previously, you could only add one resource at a time to the Monitor. See Adding multiple resources.
Perform on-demand maintenance Administrators can perform unscheduled maintenance on the Monitor. See Backing up the Monitor.
New backup alert for SQL Anywhere resources Administrators can configure the Monitor to issue an alert when a SQL Anywhere resource has not been successfully backed up for a given number of days. By default, the Monitor issues an alert after 14 days have past since a resource was successfully backed up. See Specifying alert thresholds.
Time is reported local to the browser The times reported in the Monitor are always local to the browser you are using. To calculate the difference between the browser time and the resource time, see Understanding how time is displayed.
Export metrics You can export metrics that have a graph or table associated with them to an XML file. For example, most of the metrics in the Key Performance Metrics widget can be exported. See Exporting metrics.
Troubleshooting features When you need to troubleshoot the Monitor, Administrators can use the Message Log and Exception Reports features. See Viewing the Message Log and Viewing Exception reports.
