This window has the following components:
User Shows the name of the selected user.
Message type Select a message type for communicating with the publisher.
Address Type the destination for replication messages. Publishers and remote users each have their own address. The address must be valid for the Message Type you select.
Send frequency Select one of the following values to specify how often the Message Agent (dbremote) should run.
Send then close Select this option to set the replication frequency so that the publisher's agent runs once, sends all pending messages to this remote user, and then shuts down. The agent must be restarted each time the publisher wants to send messages. This option is only useful when you are running the Message Agent (dbremote) at a remote site.
Send every Select this option to set the replication frequency so that the publisher's agent runs continuously, sending messages to this remote user at the given periodic interval. This option is useful at both consolidated and remote sites.
Send daily at Select this option to set the replication frequency so that the publisher's agent runs continuously, sending messages to this remote user each day at the given time. This option is particularly useful at remote sites.
