Update Schema Wizard: Remote Database Schema page

This page allows you to choose the location used to obtain the remote database schema.

This page has the following components:

How do you want to update the remote schema in your synchronization model?   Choose one of the following to specify how to update the remote schema:

  • From the consolidated database schema   Select this option if you want to choose tables from the consolidated database to use to update the remote database schema.

  • From an existing remote database   Select this option to connect to an existing SQL Anywhere or UltraLite remote database to update the remote schema.

    • Choose a remote database   Click this button to choose a remote database to provide the schema information for the synchronization model. The Connect window appears. Specify the connection information for the remote database.

      The following fields are blank until you specify a remote database, and then they are updated to show the information for the specified remote database.

      • Name   Shows the name of the remote database.

      • User   Shows the user ID of the user connected to the remote database.

      • Product   Shows the name of product the remote database is from. For example, SQL Anywhere.

      • Version   Shows the version of the product being used.
