Configuration For iAnywhere Driver For Oracle window

This window lets you set configuration information for the ODBC driver for Oracle, which is called iAnywhere Solutions 12 - Oracle.

Data source name Type a name to identify your data source.
User ID Type the default login ID that the application uses to connect to your Oracle database. A login ID is required only if security is enabled on your database. If so, contact your system administrator to get your login ID.
Password Type the password that the application uses to connect to your Oracle database.
TNS service name Type the TNS Service Name. The TNS Service Name is stored in network/admin/tnsnames.ora under your Oracle installation directory.
Encrypt password Select this option if you want the password to be stored in encrypted form in the data source.

Procedure returns results or uses VARRAY parameters Select this option if your stored procedure can return results or if the stored procedures use Oracle VARRAYs. The default is that this option is not selected. If your download_cursor or download_delete_cursor scripts are stored procedure invocations, select this checkbox. If no stored procedures use VARRAYs and none of them returns a result set, uncheck this checkbox to improve performance. See Using Oracle VARRAY.

Caution

If the Procedure returns results or uses VARRAY parameters option is enabled in your ODBC DSN, the driver caches which procedures require these options. If you change these requirements for a procedure, you must shut down and restart all the MobiLink servers.
Array Size Type the size, in bytes, of the byte array used to prefetch rows, on a per-statement basis. Increasing this value can significantly improve fetch performance (such as during MobiLink server downloads) at the cost of extra memory allocation. The default is 60000.

Enable Microsoft distributed transactions Select option if you want to enlist your transactions in the Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator. When selected, the Oracle ODBC driver requires an Oracle binary file, oramts.dll for Oracle 9i clients or oramts10.dll for Oracle Database 10g clients.
Test Connection Click to test whether the information provided results in a proper connection. For the test to work, a user ID and password must be specified.
