To ensure security, use the MobiLink user authentication utility (mluser) to add users. The mluser utility allows you to register a MobiLink user name with the server message store on the consolidated database. The user name and password parameters are then used by the QAnywhere agent to authenticate the user during message transmission. See MobiLink user authentication utility (mluser).

If you are using push notifications, it is also necessary to add a MobiLink user for the Listener (dblsn). For each user added, a Listener must also be added with the username ias_[user]_lsn.

New users can also be added using the -zu+ option with mlsrv12, however you should not use this option if security is an issue. Using mlsrv12 with the -zu+ option causes all new users to be added to the consolidated database when they first synchronize. This means that unrecognized users are added without authentication.
