REMOTE DBA authority   It is recommended that you connect to the Message Agent (dbremote) with a user that has REMOTE DBA authority. See Grant REMOTE DBA authority.

Database encryption   You can encrypt your database using the -ek option. See Extraction utility (dbxtract).

Message encryption   The Message Agent (dbremote) uses a simple encryption algorithm to protect the messages against casual snooping. However, this encryption scheme is not intended to provide full protection against determined efforts to decipher them.
