Before you can use a database as a MobiLink consolidated database, you must add objects such as tables, columns, and triggers, that are required for synchronization. This is done by running a setup script against the database. There is a separate setup script for each supported RDBMS. These scripts are all located in install-dir\MobiLink\setup. You can verify exactly what the script does by opening it in a text editor.

When you create a Mobilink synchronization model in Sybase Central, the software can run the script for you, if you choose, or you can run it yourself. You are prompted to install MobiLink setup when you first start the Create Synchronization Model Wizard. If you do not install it, you are prompted again when you deploy the model.
