If a database participates in replication, care must be taken when unloading and reloading to avoid needing to re-materialize the database. Replication is based on the transaction log, and unloading and reloading a database can delete the old transaction log. For information about rebuilding databases involved in replication, see Rebuild databases involved in synchronization or replication.
