A directory access server is a remote server that gives you access to the local file structure of the computer running the database server. You use proxy tables to access any subdirectories on the computer.
This tab has the following components:
Name Shows the name of the directory access server.
Type Shows the type of object.
Root directory Shows the path for the root directory of this directory access server. When you create proxy tables for this directory access server, they are relative to this root directory.
Subdirectories Shows the number of levels of subdirectories that are accessible to this directory access server.
File modification Shows whether file modification is enabled for this directory access server.
