This window lets you set configuration information for the ODBC driver for Oracle, which is called iAnywhere Solutions 11 - Oracle.

This tab has the following components:

Data source name   Type a name to identify your data source.

User ID   Type the default logon ID that the application uses to connect to your Oracle database. A logon ID is required only if security is enabled on your database. If so, contact your system administrator to get your logon ID.

Password   Type the password that the application uses to connect to your Oracle database.

Encrypted   Select this option if you want the password to be stored in encrypted form in the data source.

SID   Type the Oracle System Identifier that refers to the instance of Oracle running on the server. This item is required when connecting to database servers that support more than one instance of an Oracle database. The SID is stored in network/admin/tnsnames.ora under your Oracle installation directory.

Procedures Returns Results   Select this field if your procedures can return results. The default is that procedures do not return results (not selected). If your download_cursor or download_delete_cursor scripts are stored procedure invocations, set this to Yes.

Array Size   Type the size, in bytes, of the byte array used to prefetch rows, on a per-statement basis. Increasing this value can significantly improve fetch performance (such as during MobiLink server downloads) at the cost of extra memory allocation. The default is 60000.

Enable Microsoft distributed transactions   Select this checkbox if you want to enlist your transactions in the Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator. When selected, the Oracle ODBC driver requires an Oracle binary file, oramts.dll for Oracle 9i clients or oramts10.dll for Oracle 10g clients.

Test Connection   Click to test whether the information provided results in a proper connection. For the test to work, a user ID and password must be specified.
