Graphic icons

The following icons are used in this documentation.

  • A client application.
    The icon for a client application: a box containing three triangles in a circle.
  • A database server, such as Sybase SQL Anywhere.
    The icon for a database server: a box containing a schematic table in a circle.
  • A database. In some high-level diagrams, the icon may be used to represent both the database and the database server that manages it.
    The icon for a database: a cylinder.
  • Replication or synchronization middleware. These assist in sharing data among databases. Examples are the MobiLink server and the SQL Remote Message Agent.
    The icon for replication or synchronization middleware: a box containing an arrow in a circle.
  • A programming interface.
    The icon for a client application: a shaded box with rounded ends.
