You use the SQLSetConnectAttr function to control details of the connection. For example, the following statement turns off ODBC autocommit behavior.

retcode = SQLSetConnectAttr( dbc, SQL_AUTOCOMMIT,
   (SQLPOINTER)SQL_AUTOCOMMIT_OFF, 0 );
