To allow Client-Library and Server-Library applications to use a directory service, you must configure libtcl.cfg:
Specify a directory driver and DIT base in the DIRECTORY section of libtcl.cfg.
Make sure that the DIT base exists in the DCE directory structure.
Open Client and Open Server software use the first entry in the DIRECTORY section as the default directory driver.

Then, configure the directory service by creating an entry for the target server in the directory service using the appropriate utility:
