This section provides information about platforms that do not use environment variables.
Some platforms, such as NetWare, use the term “environment values” instead of “environment variables.” The terms mean the same thing.
Open Client for MVS does not support environment variables. Instead, MVS-specific functions extract a prefix equivalent to a SYBASE environment variable value and then build the name of the target file. For more information, see the Open Client for MVS documentation.
