Now that you reviewed the information in this chapter on commands as well as Appendix A, “CSA Commands,” you are ready to review a sample CSA. The following sample CSA programs are distributed on the Open ClientConnect API Tape (each sample CSA is written in COBOL II):
CLIENTC2 Accesses Adaptive Server Enterprise, retrieving results and messages to the CSA through an input pipe. See Appendix B, “CLIENTC2 Sample CSA,” for a reproduction of the sample.
CSAINDX Transfers data from DB2 through DirectConnect to Adaptive Server Enterprise. See Appendix C, “CSAINDX Sample CSA,” for a reproduction of the sample.
CSARESCK Sends a group of eight INSERT statements in one request buffer to Adaptive Server Enterprise and checks error messages to determine the success of the requests. See Appendix D, “CSARESCK Sample CSA,” for a reproduction of the sample.
