Test DirectConnect DB2 access service connectivity to the mainframe

To test connectivity to the mainframe

Start the DirectConnect server using the following syntax from the command line:
```
DCStart -Ssrvname
```
where srvname is your DirectConnect server name.
Test the connectivity between the access service and DB2 by using isql and entering:
```
isql -Sservice_name -Umainframe userid -Pmainframe password
```
where:
- service_name is the name of your service.
- userid and password are your mainframe userID and mainframe password.

Your connection is successful if you see the prompt.
