The catalog structures for DB2 UDB and Sybase Adaptive Server are different. If you have client applications written to access the Adaptive Server Enterprise catalog, you may need to re-code the client application queries to send those queries directly to the DB2 UDB system tables. To avoid modifying your database-specific applications, you can use CSPs to access catalog information. The CSPs supplied with the DB2 UDB Option for CICS are compatible with the catalog interface for ODBC or JDBC.
