CICS keeps an 8-byte temporary storage ID in main memory for each temporary storage record written to either main memory or DASD (auxiliary storage). Use the following equation to determine the number of bytes of main memory storage you need:
N x ID = M
where:
N is the number of records written to temporary storage.
ID is the 8-byte storage ID.
M is the number of bytes of main storage required.
