If the existing message text does not meet your needs, you can change the text of specific messages or translate all the messages into a different language. However, the following messages or parts of messages cannot be customized or translated:
“Error 33231” always returns with as-shipped U.S. English text, regardless of what is coded in the text table.
The message variable indicator strings, %s and %S, in the text table are always replaced with values that contain U. S. English text. Many of these values are DB2 commands or messages, which are always returned in U.S. English.
