The following figure illustrates the use of the Mainframe Connect IPS components in an environment where the mainframe acts as the client to a LAN server. IPS components are noted in bold type.

Mainframe Client Connect (MCC) is no longer being provided
or supported. Sybase recommends that you migrate any Client Option
products from a three-tier (gateway-enabled) environment to a two-tier
environment using TCP.
