Defining the resource group for the secondary node

From the GUI

1. Select Tasks from menu bar.

2. Click Resource Groups.

3. Select Define a Resource Group.

4. Complete the following fields:

   Field	Sample values	Description
   Failover Policy	sec_staying_afloat	The name of a previously defined failover policy
   Resource Group Name	sec_rg	The name of a previously defined resource group name

5. Click OK.

6. Select Tasks from the menu bar.

7. Click Resource Groups.

8. Select Add/Remove Resources in Resource Group.

   Field	Sub field	Sample value	Description
   Resource Group		sec_rg	Name of the resource group to be modified
   Resources			List of resources
   	Resource Type	volume	Type of resource to be added or removed
   	Resource Name	xlv2	Name of resource to be added or removed

9. Click Add and complete the following fields:

   Field	Sub field	Sample value	Description
   Resource Group
   	Resource Type	file system	Type of resource to be added or removed
   	Resource Name	/vol2	Name of resource to be added or removed

10. Click Add, and complete the following fields:

    Field	Sub field	Sample value	Description
    Resource Group
    	Resource Type	SYBASE_DB	Type of resource to be added or removed
    	Resource Name	sec_ase	Name of resource to be added or removed

11. Click Add.

12. Once you have completed your entries, click OK.

From the command line

From the command line, enter:

cluster_mgr –f sec_rg_def
