Although installed with Adaptive Server Enterprise, Adaptive Server Enterprise Web Services is a separately licensed feature requiring a license registered through SySAM named ASE_WEBSERVICES. Before configuring Adaptive Server Enterprise Web Services, do the following:
Make sure that your license is registered through SySAM. For more information on SySAM, see the Installation Guide for Adaptive Server Enterprise.
Establish an isql session with your Adaptive Server Enterprise.
Activate your license by entering the following command in isql:
sp_configure ‘enable webservices’, 1
