Before installing Adaptive Server version 12.5.3 on Linux on POWER or on Linux AMD64 run the following command:
df
If df fails to return to the command prompt, then Adaptive Server install will hang because it requires df to determine the available space on a file system.
Reboot your system to solve this problem. If this is not a viable option, work with your system administrator to resolve the issue with df before proceeding with the installation of Adaptive Server.
