Adaptive Server version 12.5.2 and later includes Adaptive Server Enterprise ADO.NET Data Provider 1.1. The Common Language Runtime (CLR) byte code for applications built against earlier versions of the Data Provider is not compatible with this version of the Data Provider. To use the updated version of the Data Provider, rebuild your applications against the new Data Provider. Multiple versions of the Data Provider can coexist on the client machine and therefore your old application can continue to use the earlier version of the Data Provider.
