Many of the applications and utilities that are shipped with the complete Adaptive Server distribution can be used on a client machine, where Adaptive Server is not running. These applications and utilities are provided in a separate installable package on the release image, called Sybase_Client_1251.

In addition, if the Server Admin utility is installed on your client machine (highly recommended), the Sybase plug-in will be installed for it when the client tools are installed.
