(CR #399823) After configuring an ODBC cache in the odbc.ini file for the ASA9 database; upon testing the connection cache using ping, the EAServer will hang. To solve this problem, start the ASA database for the ODBC cache before testing the connection cache. This procedure is not required for ASA 8 on Solaris. You do not need to start the ASA database for ODBC cache for the other platforms.
