For instructions on how to use DirectConnect Manager to modify the configuration file go to the DirectConnect Manager online Help, and select Managing Access Service | Modifying ECDA Option for Oracle Service Configuration Properties.
When a ECDA Option for Oracle server is highlighted,
the details panel Oracle Target field may show
"Unable to make connection" for a service, which indicates that
DirectConnect Manager could not connect to the target Oracle database.
This may be due to the ECDA Option for Oracle administrator account
not being valid on the target Oracle database or possibly a different password.
If multiple services are configured in one ECDA Option for Oracle server
and there are multiple target Oracle databases involved, Sybase recommends
you verify that the ECDA Option for Oracle administrator is a valid
user on each of the target Oracle databases and they all have the
same password.
