When Adaptive Server starts, it must acquire the full amount of memory set by total logical memory from the operating system. If Adaptive Server cannot start because it cannot acquire enough memory, reduce the memory requirements by reducing the values for the configuration parameters that consume memory. You may also need to reduce the values for other configuration parameters that require large amounts of memory. Then restart Adaptive Server to use the new values.
