Adaptive Server truncates user-created temporary databases in the same way as with the tempdb log. When you run the system checkpoint process on a temporary database, both the tempdb log and a user-created temporary database are truncated because of the trunc log on chkpt option. This is true only when the system initiates the checkpoint; not when the user initiates the checkpoint of a temporary database.
