Sybase backup transaction log to disk template This template uses the dump transaction command to allow you to back up the transaction log for one or more databases. When creating a job from this template, you specify the database name and dump directory. You can also specify if you want to compress or stripe the database, and if you want to include the server name and date in the dump file name. Additionally, you can specify a time threshold so if that amount of time has passed since the last dump, the log will be dumped. Similarly, you can specify a row threshold to force a dump of the log if it contains at least that number of rows. If you do not provide values to any of these parameters, the log dump occurs.
