A property of an information object.
- DTD
Document Type Definition. A DTD is used to define
the legal building blocks of an XML document. A DTD can be declared
within an XML document or referenced externally.

Lightweight Directory Access Protocol.
- schema
An outline defining the structure, content, and
semantics of an XML document.
- SOAP
Simple Object Access Protocol.
- SQL-XML
An XML representation of SQL data.
- XML
Extensible Markup Language, a markup language
standardized by W3C.
- UDDI
Universal Description Discovery and Integration.
- URI
A Uniform Resource Identifier. A URI is a string
of characters that identify an Internet Resource. The most common
URI is the Uniform Resource Locator (URL), which identifies an Internet
address. A less common URI is the Universal Resource Name (URN).

Web Services Description Language.
- XML schema
Extensible Markup Language.
- XPath
XML Path Language.
- XQL
XML Query Language. XQL was a precursor of XQuery.
