Creating a RepConnector Connection Profile

Create a new RepConnector connection profile to supply the runtime connection information for an RepConnector server component.

  1. In the Enterprise Explorer, right-click RepConnector Servers and select New.

    The New Connection wizard opens.

  2. Complete the following information on the wizard pages:
    Table 1. Name and Description page
    Field Description
    Name Enter a unique and descriptive name for the profile.

    For example: myRepConnector01 .

    Description Enter a profile description that helps you distinguish it from others.
    Auto-Connect Check this box to automatically connect to the server and display its contents in the Enterprise Explorer. A connection is established whenever you open the Enterprise Explorer. Clear the check box to allow only manual connections.

    Field Description
    Host For example: localhost .
    Port For example: 8080 .
    User Enter the name for the RepConnector login.

    For example: repraadmin .

  3. Click Next.
  4. Review connection information on the Summary page and do any of the following:
    • To edit the connection definition, click Back to return to the page of the wizard containing the information.
    • To save the connection definition, click Finish.
    The connection definition appears under the RepConnector Server in the Enterprise Explorer.
