WS-Security Keystores

Use the Enterprise Explorer to manage Web Services security keystores from a central location.

Sybase has implemented keystores as an extensible architecture for storing encryption keys, digital certificates and other credentials in either encrypted or unencrypted keystore file types.

Use Enterprise Explorer to manage the connection information for this file. By using the profile as part of an endpoint, you centrally define how Service Container and EAServer loads the contents of this file for WS-Security services.

Once connected, you can view keystore contents only. Also, when testing a WS-Security service, the Service Test wizard can then also display the list of keys in a keystore, so that the you can choose an appropriate key to sign a SOAP request with.

  Create a keystore connection profile to supply the runtime connection information for a keystore.
• Connecting to a Keystore
  If you did not select the Auto-Connection option when defining a connection profile, you can manually connect to a keystore.
• Browsing Security Credentials
  Use Enterprise Explorer to browse available security credentials.
• Disconnecting From a Keystore
  Use Enterprise Explorer to disconnect from a keytstore.
• Pinging a Keystore
  Use the Enterprise Explorer to check if the keystore is available.
