New features and feature enhancements are included for SQL Results view, Stored Procedure Editor, Sybase IQ Index Editor, and Enterprise Explorer display options.
For all databases:
- SQL Results view enhancements
- Search result sets using standard Eclipse Find/Replace functionality.
- Save a group (SQL statement, its children statements, and all their execution results) to a log file.
- Display and/or save all SQL results in a file similar to iSQL command output.
- Configure how database objects are displayed under the connection profile directly in Enterprise Explorer or through preference settings. You can:
- Group objects by schema
- Display the owner name for each object
- Log variables and referenced table data into a log file during debugging.
For Adaptive Server Enterprise:
Temporary table enhancements – you can insert annotations in the stored procedure source code that not only create the temporary tables but also CREATE INDEX and INSERT statements using the Stored Procedure Editor. This way, you can quickly and easily debug stored procedures that reference temporary tables.
For SQL Anywhere and Sybase IQ:
- Debugger enhancements in Stored Procedure Editor – from the new Debug tab, you can set breakpoints and run or debug the stored procedure. The Debug tab displays the canonical form of the stored procedure as executed by the server.
- Sybase IQ Index Editor enhancements – displays placement (dbspace usage) and fragmentation (amount of empty space within the btrees, garrays, and bitmaps) information.
