Run an ASE user-defined function without invoking a launch configuration. Running a user-defined function allows you to run and obtain SQL results from the database.
PrerequisitesÂ
Before you can run a user-defined function, save or deploy it to a database.
-
In the Databases folder in Enterprise Explorer, under the database connection profile,
expand the Databases folder, expand the tree for a database,
and then expand the tree for the appropriate schema owner.
-
Expand the
User Defined Functions folder, right-click the
user-defined function, and choose
Run.
-
(Optional) If the user-defined function includes parameters, modify the parameter values.
-
Click
OK to run the function.
SQL Results view displays the status of the run
instance, the execution details, and returns result sets and server messages,
if any.
