Visual SQL

The Visual SQL dialog aids you in creating select, insert, update, and delete statements for use in your procedural objects. You also use Visual SQL to create a database view.

You can access the Visual SQL dialog when editing the SQL code for a procedural object from the context menu in the procedural object's associated editor, from the WorkSpace toolbar in SQL File Editor, or when creating a database view.

• Using Visual SQL
  Use Visual SQL to create select, insert, update, and delete statements from source code in SQL File Editor, SQL Scrapbook, and the Source page of the procedural object editors.
• Creating a Database View
  Create a database view to see a subset of rows or columns from one or more tables. Each time you select a database view and use the view data, Sybase WorkSpace executes a select statement to retrieve the data and creates the database view.
