Installation Workflow

This topic shows the workflow for installing Sybase Developer Edition Servers.

Separate installers are used for Sybase WorkSpace and the Sybase Developer Edition Servers.

The tasks in this workflow are for the Sybase Developer Edition Servers. For information on installation tasks for Sybase WorkSpace, see the Installation Guide for Sybase WorkSpace.

To install Sybase Developer Edition Servers, follow this basic workflow:
  1. Review installation requirements.
  2. Identify the components you want to install.
  3. Install Sybase Developer Edition Servers and Sybase WorkSpace.
  4. (Optional) Install Adaptive Server Enterprise.
  5. Perform post-installation configuration tasks.
