    Option Description
Add or remove libraries or jar files for a user-defined component Select the component, click Manage and go to step 5.
Delete a user-defined component Click Remove.
Import files into a user-defined component from a predefined file Click Import.

  5. Use the toolbar at the top of the left pane of the Component Management dialog to do any of the following:
    Table 2. Toolbar buttons
    Button Description
New Opens the Categories dialog box where you can create and define a new category of component support. This enables you to use third-party taglib support and add the jars and tld files required by the category. After you create a new category, the New button is followed by a down arrow, which lets you create another new category or a new item, which can be a .tld, .jar, or .zip file. An item is referenced as a taglib URI. The URI is the item ID. For example, http://java.sun.com/jsf/html is a taglib defined by JSF, and in the component support, it would have an item mapped to it.
Delete Deletes the selected user-defined component. Only user-defined categories and items can be deleted.
Move Down Moves the selected item down in the list.
Move Up Moves the selected item up in the list.
Import Opens the Open dialog box to allow you to import user-defined category information that was previously exported, enabling you to reuse user-defined categories. The Import button is enabled only if a user-defined component is selected.
Export Opens the Open dialog box to allow you to export user-defined category information, such as jars, .tld files, and the location in the file system, to an .xml file. The Export button is enabled only if a user-defined component is selected.
  6. In the right pane of the Component Management dialog, click Add to select .tld, .jar, or .zip files to add to your user-defined component. The Open dialog box opens.
  7. Select the file or files that you want to add and click Open. The selected file or files appear in the Libraries list.
  8. To remove a file from the selected user-defined component, select the file and click Remove.
  9. Click OK. Your changes are saved, the Component Management dialog box closes, and the Preferences dialog box reappears.
  10. Click OK.
