Troubleshooting an Imported Project

Follow this procedure if you have errors when importing a project.

If you have a new JMT environment and import an existing project that was associated with a runtime server and server in its former environment, and you receive an error and you cannot compile and run the project, follow this procedure.

To run an imported project:

  1. Create a Web Application project; in the New Web Application Project wizard:
    1. Select the correct server in the Target Runtime field.
    2. Select to use a blank project in the Template field.
    3. Leave JavaServer Faces support selected, it is the default on the Select Component Support wizard page.
  2. Copy the contents of the imported project, for example, the .jsp files, web.xml, faces-config.xml and .jar files, into the related folders in the new project.
  3. Refresh the new project.
  4. Run the new project.
